Celebrating 10 Years of Penrose: Looking Back at Our 2016 Beginning

As part of our 10‑year anniversary celebrations, we’re sharing a short weekly video series looking back at each year of the Penrose journey. This first 90‑second clip takes you right back to 2016 - the year Penrose was born and everything began.

This year marks a huge milestone for us — Penrose turns 10.

To celebrate a decade of helping people move, grow, invest and put down roots, we’re sharing a series of short videos that look back at the key moments that shaped who we are today.

We’re starting right at the beginning: 2016.
Back then, Penrose was nothing more than a vision shared by three local agents who felt the industry needed a more personal, transparent and human approach. After years in large corporate agencies, we wanted to build something different — something that genuinely put people first.

So in early 2016, we opened Penrose from a small self‑serviced office in AW House, Luton. No big team. No big budget. Just a clear mission and a lot of determination.

The response from the community was immediate. Sellers, buyers and landlords trusted us with their moves, and that early momentum laid the foundations for everything that followed — two HUBs, national awards, over a thousand five‑star reviews, and thousands of successful moves across Luton and Dunstable.

This short video is the first chapter in our 10‑year celebration series. Each week, we’ll share another year from our journey — the growth, the challenges, the milestones and the moments that made Penrose what it is today.

Thank you for being part of our story. Whether you’ve moved with us, let through us, bought from us or simply followed our journey, your support over the last decade means everything.

May is a key month for sellers, but more homes are competing for attention. If you are thinking of moving this spring, here is how the current market is shaping buyer behaviour and what helps a home stand out.

More homes are competing for buyer attention, so sellers need more than a hopeful asking price. A smart launch, realistic valuation and strong presentation can help attract serious interest.

April is a good time for buyers to focus on readiness rather than guesswork. In a market where choice has improved but confidence remains mixed, being organised can make all the difference when the right home comes along.

Discover our Property of the Month: a beautifully cared‑for four‑bedroom detached home tucked away in a peaceful close in Elstow. We’re hosting an Open House this Saturday 13th June from 10am — click below to explore the full details and book your viewing slot.
